About Me
Growing Up in Concord
Born in Minneapolis, MN, I moved to Thoreau Hills in Concord when I was 1 year old. With a mother from California and a father from Manitoba, we were quickly welcomed by the amazing people in this town.
I attended Thoreau elementary, Peabody middle school, and Concord-Carlisle High School. It was a wonderful experience, and I am lucky to have made many great lifelong friends.
School and Career
I attended Dartmouth College, where I was captain of the baseball team, a varsity ice hockey player, and graduated with a degree in economics.
My 33 year career has included corporate strategy and environmental economics consulting and a decade in the health care/medical device field. For the last seven years, I have worked at National Grid, where I currently lead our Clean Energy transformation efforts and am a member of our Global Strategic Leadership team.
My Family
While living in Watertown after college I met my wife Martha, who grew up in Newton, went to Boston College and got a Master's degree at Emerson. After spending some time in Chicago and San Antonio, we moved back to Concord to raise our family. We have four children who are now between the ages of 17 and 24, and two dogs. Meanwhile my parents still live in the house I grew up in.
